As part of the national NEES system, half of the operational time at the Tsunami Research Facility is designated for researchers funded through NSF's NEESR (NEES Research) grants program. NEES facilities may also be available for non-NEESR research projects funded by NSF grants.
All NEES-approved projects are managed collectively by NEES Community and Communications (NEEScomm), and are subject to a formal Site Utilization Agreement (SUA) and an Equipment Site Utilization Form (ESUF) with the site.
